This one time elegant warehouse in Manchester is now a gorgeous boutique hotel with a very theatrical style.
With its red and black décor, we think it’s reminiscent of the Moulin Rouge. It’s certainly stylish, whatever colour you’re hoping to paint the town.
With stunning rooms and suites, Mal Manchester is perfect for business trips or luxury city breaks. We offer elegant rooms and opulent suites, a fabulous bar and classy brasserie. So, whether you’re here to explore the shops or the trendy Northern Quarter, make it the Manchester Mal. You won’t be disappointed.

Like all Mals, the Manchester Mal is an unusual hotel with a unique story to tell. In its time it’s been a doll’s hospital, a cotton spinners’ warehouse and the Imperial Hotel. The home of the Professional Football Association also used to sit on the same plot.
We’re proud to say that while some hotels may promise a cup winning experience, at the Manchester Mal, it would seem we not only made the Cup but filled it up with bubbly for you to celebrate with.
But if you’re in Manchester and not a football fan, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this stylish hotel. It really is a joy to look at, with the original wrought iron frame of the lift a particular must-see.
