Calling all bookworms! £150 worth of book vouchers are up for grabs for children from local primary schools in a creative writing competition.
Hosted by Starbucks and the National Literacy Trust (NLT), the competition asks children to write a short essay on ‘My local community and what it means to me” for a chance to win the vouchers for themselves and their school.
The competition marks the launch of this year’s Christmas Bookdrive, a project which collects new books through stores to share with local schools, encouraging children to discover the fun of reading.
Last year, stores in Manchester collected a total of 1218 books for local schools.
To be in with a chance of winning the vouchers, entries should be entitled ‘Starbucks Creative Writing Competition’ and sent to PO Box 14, London, SW16 2DP by 21st December.
