The Place with a new face

The Place Hotel is perfectly sited for Piccadilly Station or for those visiting town for a night out. It’s also excellent for corporate guests with long term business interests in Manchester.

Already a firm favourite amongst Manchester hotels, it now looks even better after the completion of the first part of a £3.5million renovation project. This has smartened up the reception areas, and introduced a lounge and bar.

The bar, will accommodate up to 50 guests, for lunch and evening meal, serving drinks all day, to both residents, and visitors. It provides a wonderful environment to relax after work, over drinks or cocktails, as well as a great venue to hold informal business meetings.

The design is contemporary yet traditional. In a clever way it contradicts and complements the beautiful Grade II listed, Victorian framework it sits within. It provides a mix of classic period architecture, and chic, yet quirky, ambience.

Aside from the bar we have a few other tricks up our sleeves. A principal reason for the popularity of The Place is the impressive modern facilities within the loft-style luxury guest apartments. All apartments feature a relaxing lounge area, complete with CD, and DVD player, 32-inch satellite television, a well-equipped designer kitchen, tastefully decorated bedrooms, and modern bathrooms. Other apartment amenities include dual telephone lines, and fixed and wireless high speed internet access.

Special promotional rates start from £105 per night, for the luxury one bedroom apartments, and £150 for the more spacious two bedroom alternative. Promotional rates are available throughout May and June 2007, and are subject to availability.

Phase two of the refurbishment is equally exciting, with plans to develop a purpose-built, hi-tech meeting and conference centre, boasting a 150- seater conference suite, with a further 8 break out rooms in varying configurations.
