The Metropolitan pub in West Didsbury was on fire this morning.
The popular Burton Road boozer needed three fire engines to calm the blaze and the police shut down the surrounding roads.
We’ll bring you more details when we get them – in the mean time, fingers crossed the fire didn’t do too much damage to the building and no people were hurt or injured.
Thanks to our man on the street, James Walker, for sending in the pics.

It was probably a dehydrated punter, who spontaneously combusted after waiting so long at the bar.
Probably a punter fed up with the bar prices you mean. £7.80 for two drinks ho ho ho. They are having a larrrrf (at our expense).
