Parking – have your say NOW!

Here goes. No more arsing around. Judging by the responses we’ve had (click here to view the rants and the original article), you’re all more than a little annoyed by the new Parking proposals.

So, we’re doing something about it. The council claim to care what Manchester’s residents think – so make your voice heard.

While petitions are all well and good, they only count as one complaint against the proposed plans – regardless of how many signatures they contain. What we need to do is bombard the council with individual complaints to let them know how we all feel.

We have prepared a general statement of dissatisfaction at the new parking proposals, that at a click of a button you can send to the official council inbox set up to receive complaints.

You can either send the statement below as it stands, you can edit as you wish, or you can delete it entirely and send your own comments.

And in case the councillors plan to ignore their emails, which they seem to be in the habit of doing, we will print off every single email sent to them through our system, and knock on the door of the Town Hall with them before the deadline of the 26th.

We want every single person who disagrees with the council’s proposals to end free on-street parking to send this email. We’ve made it as easy as possible for you, so it will only take a moment to have your say.

All of the details that the council have asked for are included on this form, so that there is no chance of them rejecting these complaints on the grounds of incompleteness.

Make your voice heard. Send your message now, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll make a difference.

Fill in your details below...

The consultation period has now ended, we've given the council 4,447 responses to the new parking proposals and now it's down to them. We'll keep you posted when we hear more.
