More Free Tickets For Granada's World Cup Beach Stadium

HAVING already shifted more than 60,000 tickets for ITV's Fever Pitch World Cup beach stadium at the Old Granada Studios, more FREE tickets are due for release at 1pm on Thursday 29 May.

But be snappy - the most popular games, including Brazil's opening match vs Croatia (Thurs 12 June), England vs Uruguay (Thurs 19 June) and the World Cup Final (Sun 13 July) were snapped up quicker than a bribe to a bent cricketer.

Fans are able to apply for up to six tickets for a maximum of three events.

The former car park of Granada's old headquarters on Quay Street is set to be transformed into an ITV World Cup fan park with 450 tonnes worth of imported sand, a 3,000 capacity beach stadium and a whopping 40 square metre screen.

The beach stadium will also be hosting international beach football matches before the screening of live games, with England's beach football team taking on teams from Italy, Uruguay, Costa Rica and Germany (boo).

For those unable to snatch tickets online, a small number of tickets will be avaliable at the site on the day, on a first come, first served basis.
