It’s Sky time!

My, how time flies. It feels like only yesterday that we were first telling you about the Sky Festival, but here we are, with only a few days to go, and the city is buzzing with talk of all of the different events that are to take place over the weekend.

In case you’ve been walking around with your eyes closed for the past few weeks, here’s what the Sky Festival is all about.

Ok, so you have your music festivals. You have your film festivals. You have your book festivals, your food festivals, your theatre festivals. Irish festivals, comedy festivals, beer festivals…there’s a festival for practically everything you can think of.

But you don’t very often hear about festivals dedicated solely to television, which, after all, is the UK’s favourite past time.

So to celebrate the wonderful world of TV, Sky will be taking over Manchester for a weekend of television related entertainment. Over 36 free events covering a wide variety of interests will be held across the city, with 31 Sky channels taking part.
