I’ll huff and I’ll puff…

I’ll huff and I’ll puff…

In the midst of 80mph winds, Manchester city centre yesterday became a dangerous gauntlet of flying obstacles and falling debris.

Six people were killed across the Northwest, with ten confirmed fatalities across the country as a result of the weather.

Commuters faced nightmare journeys home as roads were gridlocked, motorways were closed and rail services cancelled. Many businesses were forced to close early due to the extreme weather conditions.

Today will be calmer, but the Met office predicts winds to pick up again over the weekend.

How did the winds affect you? Did you see any incidents, or struggle to get home? Do you think it's acceptable that our infrastructure isn't designed to cope with extremes in weather conditions? Have your say below.
