Music and food have been inextricably linked for centuries, and now The Northern Quarter's favourite record shop is welcoming Manchester’s coolest café into its fold to refresh weary customers.
In a few weeks, Vox Pop record shop on Thomas Street will be clearing a corner for Love Saves the Day, the quirky Deansgate coffee shop and deli, who will be moving their coffee machine and counter in to cheer up record collectors with drinks and cakes.
Vox Pop sources and sells music and memorabilia from the past 40 years, specialising in vinyl and attracting record collectors from far and wide.
The shop is co-owned by Mr Scruff, who will be headlining the New Islington Festival on September 2nd. The festival, which is being held to celebrate the launch of the new community at New Islington, will feature a Vox Pop/ Love Saves the Day tea tent to give everyone a taster of just how beautiful this new friendship will be.
So now there’s another reason to visit Vox Pop, not that we needed it. If music be the food of love, play on, Vox Pop. And if Love Saves the Day be the food of shopping, then munch away.
