H Bar closed down again

FOLLOWING on from Alex Curran's comments earlier this week that Liverpool nightlife was getting a bit rough (see The Vote), H Bar has been closed down again.

The nightclub, owned by former Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton, had its licence suspended for the second time in twn months after two door staff received knife wounds during an incident outside the venue in the early hours of Monday morning.

A third man was found with stab wounds and police said they were “thankful” not to be dealing with a murder.

Liverpool council’s licensing committee's decision, made in a preliminary review, will stand until a final verdict next month.

H Bar had introduced plastic glasses and told the committee how it had reduced its opening hours on Sunday nights.

A spokesman for Natasha Hamilton said: “She is incredibly frustrated something completely out of their control, which happens all the time everywhere else, is forcing them to close.

“Natasha is really upset but will work with the police as hard as ever.

Any bar can attract the wrong type, The key is not letting them in. I do agree with you though Len, allow us normal, well adjusted people to come spend our money in your venue and the place will stay open longer than a month !

It is a money laundering scam when bars open and close quickly. The slimeball gangsters and thick footballers who conspire in these enterprises are the chief beneficiaries.Whatever happened to the good old British pub for gods sake?

Attract the wrong sort of people and you get trouble.Perhaps this place ought to re-launch itself as a place for normal, well-adjusted people rather than footballers and gangsters?

It's never the venue it's the people who are entering that are the problem. Security and door policies are the key to the venue success
