Blow away your January blues this weekend with the National Motorcycle Show being held from January 5th at the GMEX.

New Year Blues? Blow them away this weekend.

January 5th sees the beginning of the National Motorcycle Show at GMEX, with a mixture of Live Action stunts, new, custom and classic bikes on display and trade stalls for all your biking paraphernalia.

This year sees the World No1 'trials freestyler' Jason Finn and Bike Trials rider Richard Johnson starring alongside old stalwarts such as Russ Swift and Sonnie Ferguson.

If these names mean nothing to you, keep reading. If you are a petrol head or fancy something to blow the January blues away, this is the event for you. There are loads of bargain bike stock (if you have any money left) and you can always daydream that you are the biker sponsored by Dunlop to destroy their tyres.

Bike dealers displaying new bikes for 2007 include Benelli, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, Triumph and Kawasaki. Local boys Boom Trikes will be displaying their new quads, go and say hello - they don't bite !

The show runs from January 5th - 7th (this Friday to Sunday) and admission is £12 on the door for adults, £6 for concessions. Bring a bike if you have one as parking is free outside the main steps.

A fun day out, even for those of a none/one/four wheel persuasion.
