With more will-they-won’t-they excitement than Ross and Rachel in the late 90’s, this year’s Dpercussion Festival has had Manchester music lovers on the edge of their seats for the past few months, waiting to find out whether Manchester’s beloved festival would happen.
But here we are, with just days to go, and it’s all definitely going ahead this weekend. On Saturday 5th August, Castlefield will surge with 50,000 people watching 60 bands and 85 DJ’s over 8 stages.
Scrape together some pennies in time for the weekend, because just £2 will gain you entry to Castlefield, where from 12.30pm to 10.30pm you’ll be able to see the likes of Daywalkers, Liam Frost and This is Seb Clarke, and get your groove on to the sounds of DJs from Clint Boon to Jayne Compton.
DPercussion are on the hunt for volunteers to help out with the running of the festival, and presumably to stop Castlefield’s canals becoming filled with 50,000 music fans and their various bodily excretions.
If you’d like to get involved in anything from artist liaison to litter collection, Dpercussion would like to here from you. Click here
