TWO MEN from Warrington have been jailed for inciting disorder and looting on Facebook. Jordan Blackshaw, 21, and Perry Suttcliffe-Keenan, 22, were both sentenced to four years in a decision Judge Elgan Edwards hopes will act as a deterrent to others. Blackshaw had created a Facebook event called “Smash d[o]wn in Northwich Town.” Both men pleaded guilty under the Serious Crime Act to intentionally encouraging another to assist the commission of an indictable offence.

EXTRA POLICE OFFICERS will remain on the streets of Manchester for the ‘foreseeable future’ as part of the citiy’s riot recovery. Police have confirmed that an increased presence will remain in Manchester and Salford over the coming weeks, including the Bank Holiday weekend. The decision means that high visibility patrols will continue in areas worst affected by last week’s rioting.

Clubs are not allowed to accept deals with ‘related parties’ unless they are at ‘fair market value’.
