CAPTURED: Stunning MCR Timelapse Video

CONFIDENTIAL has just been sent this through the ether - and it's a looker.

"Instead of just looking at the big tourist attractions that Manchester has to offer we wanted to give a new perspective, and speed, to the sights that the people of Manchester will see on an every day basis."

Whitworth Street-based online video experts, Lanor Productions, have just completed two months of solid work on this new stunning high-definition 4K (4000 pixels) time lapse video of Manchester.

The team snapped a total of 2700 photos on order to produce this one minute snap shot of Manchester.

The video features time lapse footage of Deansgate Locks, Castlefield, Manchester Cathedral, Chinatown, and Piccadilly Garden's big wheel, amongst other locations.

The super-HD video, shot on a Canon 5D mkiii (rrp £2000), utilizes the time lapse method which shoots still frames at set intervals and plays them back at a faster rate to give the impression that time is moving more quickly.

Here it is:

Greg Tomaszewicz, Lanor Productions’ Director, said:

"Instead of just looking at the big tourist attractions that Manchester has to offer we wanted to give a new perspective, and speed, to the sights that the people of Manchester will see on an every day basis.

"We're talking the streets and routes that people commute on, the buildings they walk past and the beautiful old mills and warehouses that many people will work or live in in the city centre."

Time-lapses are so 10 years ago. When you start getting them forwarded by your grand-father, you know they stink.

So yesterday perhaps but I'll be sending this to business acquaintances abroad - including conference organisers - who are always asking me about Manc. Most of them are grand-dads anyway.
