Business courses at The Manchester College

The more you know, the more valuable you are to employers. A good training course can get you promoted, secure you a job interview, and make your working life a lot more enjoyable and satisfying.

In some sectors the lack of professional development opportunities means that people are falling behind, or at the very least, standing still. If you think this might be you, and you want to do something about it, The Manchester College can help.

Their business courses are designed to be affordable for individuals as well as employers. They cover all the skills needed in today's working environment with six core subject areas: management training, project management, administration and office training, IT and digital media training, sales and customer service training, and health and safety training. You can learn anything from web design to recruiting staff to managing conflict in the workplace.

Courses range from half a day of assertiveness training to a 12 week course in line management. Many of them lead to industry-recognised qualifications. All of them look great on your CV and give you skills that will make a real difference to your performance at work.

The Manchester College may be unfamiliar to some – it's the new institution that was formed by the merger of MANCAT and City College Manchester. It's got an excellent reputation for business training with over 2,000 companies using its courses since 2008. The trainers are all passionate about their subject areas – expect to be taught by someone who understands what skills you need to move forwards.

The majority of the courses are held at the St John's Campus in the city centre (though they will deliver training within the workplace for group bookings). There's a huge range to choose from, and the initial investment will be outweighed by the boost it will give to your earnings potential.

The Manchester College is now taking bookings for its spring and summer courses. Click here to see if there's one that will take forward your career.
