Plough your way down to Hardman Square in Spinningfields for the chance to win booze

Build a snowman competition

Today is a day to enjoy the beauty of nature – as well as worry about how you're going to get home. But until it turns to treacherous ice, don't let a day of shin-high, deep, soft snow go to waste. Everyone needs to build a snowman.

In fact, why not head to the snowman sanctuary in Hardman Square, Spinningfields? Snowmen and snowwomen of all shapes and sizes are being judged by the Snow Gods of Spinningfields today and the best creation will win a bottle of champagne. Think of how nice it will be to crack that open when you get home. If you get home.

The competition is taking place all day with no limit on the number of participants. Word has it that there is plenty of snow to go around. Get down there.
