POLICE investigating a body found in a burning skip by the Manchester Apollo venue in Ardwick have confirmed that they are no longer treating the death as suspicious.
"There is not believed to be any third party involvement and enquires are on going to establish the exact cause of death and how the fire was started."
Firefighters were called to extinguish a fire in the early hours of Monday 15 September which had started in a skip wagon parked on the A57 Hyde Road by the venue.
When the firefighters put out the blaze, a body was found and officers attended around 5.30am.
Police have confirmed that they now know the identity of the 43-year-old male and that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
A statement released by Greater Manchester Police says:
"There is not believed to be any third party involvement and enquires are on going to establish the exact cause of death and how the fire was started."
The man's family have been informed.
