All the world’s a stage

Want to be in an opera? Can’t sing for toffee? Don’t let that hold you back – Ellen Kent is searching for extras for her forthcoming production of Aida at Manchester Opera House, and anyone can apply.

Aida is an epic opera that tells the story of the love affair between Eqyptian hero Ramades and an Ethiopian princess who has been taken as a slave in Egypt.

Ellen Kent and Opera International are looking for Manchester people to take the parts of the King and Queen of Ethiopia, their royal family who have been enslaved by the Egyptians, and Egyptian soldiers to take part in the triumphal march.

Extras don’t need any experience, just bags of enthusiasm, the ability to look oppressed and slave-like, and a clear diary from March 5th to the 10th.

If you are over 18 and fancy being a part of this spectacular production, call 01634 820226 to register your details.
