For over thirty years, AM Furniture has been delighting customers with their individual, hand crafted furniture. Situated in a traditional workshop nestling in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, the long established and trusted AM Furniture specialises in the design, build and installation of fitted furniture for every room in your home.

Established in 1963 by Alan Morgan and originally called Alan Morgan joinery, the company became AM Furniture ltd in 1973, and Alan Morgan himself retired in 1990 when the current staff took over. The company now consist of a small team of four highly skilled and experienced craftsmen, who between them have been working for the company for over 100 years.

AM Furniture’s craftsmen will design and hand craft both fitted and free standing furniture to your individual tastes and requirements, in any style from traditional to modern. Services include custom built kitchens, fitted bathroom furniture as well as fitted and free standing furniture for your lounge, bedroom and study. Whatever you choose, you can be sure that your new furniture will reflect your own individual personality and tastes. As well as producing quality bespoke pieces, AM Furniture will also restore and alter existing furniture by repainting, polishing or fitting new drawers, doors, worktops or mouldings. From the earliest stages of production, AM’s craftsmen consult with their customers to ensure that the desired effect is achieved, and visitors are welcomed to the workshop near Alderley Edge to view the work in progress and discuss their individual requirements.

The design process begins with a home visit. After your initial enquiry, draughtsman Andrew Milroy will visit your home to discuss the project and take measurements, then return to the workshop to prepare some designs and come up with a quotation.

Once you have decided on a specific style, detailed plans of your furniture will be produced, which the craftsmen will use to construct your piece. Of course, you will be welcome to the workshop at any time to view your furniture under construction. Each project normally takes around three weeks, with two craftsmen working together to get your furniture exactly right.

Each item crafted by AM furniture is tailor made to the individual customer’s requirements, so you can be sure that whether you need a kitchen, or furniture for your bedroom, lounge or office, your piece will be totally individual.

AM have built up quite a reputation for themselves, with most of their custom coming through word of mouth and recommendations of others, and their happy customers return to them time and time again – surely an indication of the levels of quality and service offered.
