The Big Indie Wine Festival

Glug, Glugger, Gluggest. Drink the finest wine at The People's History Museum

The Big Indie Wine Festival

MFDF is as much about the drink as the food, with an array of boozy adventures to enjoy from spirit trails to highlights such as the Big Indie Wine Fest

The indie kid of wine festivals takes place in the historic (and newly refurbished) People's History Museum, featuring some of the best wine retailers in the region and consequently some of the very best and most exclusive wines from boutique producers across the globe.

This year you'll be able to taste your way around at least 14 merchants including Reserve, Corks Out, T Wright Wines, Origin Wines, The Vineyards, Hanging Ditch, Harvey Nichols and many more.

Your ticket gets you entrance into one of the sessions and all your tastings - plus all the merchants are on hand to talk through their tipples.

There's also a full programme of bespoke tutored tastings with up to 6 wines sampled during each class.

The Left Bank Cafe at the museum will be providing specially created 'one bowl' food for hungry tasters at the event.

Metrolink are sponsoring the wine festival; an incentive, if you live close to a tram station, to leave the car at home. Click here to plan your journey. The Big Indie is always a sell out. Book here to guarantee your place. MFDF Big Indie Wine Fest, 7-8th October, People's History Museum. Sponsored by Metrolink.
