FROM the iron filings found in your cereals to the physics of an egg, Manchester’s top business brains will discuss the science of the most important meal of the day at MOSI (Museum of Science & Industry) on 16 May.
Participants will have the chance to appreciate Newton’s Law in practice by attempting to knock a giant egg into a glass, and learn how acid can break down an egg shell to enable it to bounce.
At the first of a series of business breakfast networking sessions at MOSI presenters will demonstrate how to separate the iron from your breakfast cereal or how milk can create a swirling, colourful chemical reaction when mixed with food colouring and detergent.

MOSI’s business breakfasts are a very individual networking opportunity for the business community, which aims to use the Museum environment to inspire new ideas and spark creative discussions.
Organiser Julie Platt said: “Anyone involved in the Manchester business scene is welcome to attend our business breakfast. Come and enjoy breakfast in MOSI’s atmospheric surroundings, build your corporate network, and find out more about the Museum as an organization, a cultural partner and a one-of-a-kind hospitality venue.”
This is a free initiative. To reserve your place email Julie on events.rsvp@mosi.org.uk
