New Guestrant chefs for Electrik

Chorlton's Electrik has just announced its next Guestrant – this time the spotlight is on two passionate young chefs who work behind the scenes at one of the city's most highly regarded restaurants.

Diners will be treated to gastronomy from Rob Wild and James McLennan from the 2nd Floor Restaurant at Harvey Nichols.

They’re both taking a night off from the two AA Rosette restaurant to impress Electrik’s customers with a five-course meal of in-season modern European food. The 2nd Floor Restaurant picked up nominations in categories across the board at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards – this is your opportunity to see what its team can do when given free reign.

Guestrant is the monthly event at Electrik where a guest chef (or chefs in this case) takes to the kitchen for one night only. Food is served around communal tables creating a social atmosphere, with diners brought together by a shared love of great food.

Past Guestrant chefs have included Peter Booth, Rob Owen Brown, Mary-Ellen McTague and Laurence Tottingham from Aumbry, and Ning's Norman Musa.

The Wild and McLennan Guestrant is happening on Monday 22 November from 7.30pm at, Electrik, 559 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, M21 0AE and it's £25 in advance for five courses.

Tickets sell out – get yours asap from Electrik by emailing info@electrikbar.co.uk.
