HIBERNATE bar (formerly InBloom bar) on Spinningfields Lawns is set to become The Lawn Club on The Lawns. Spinningfields have lawns by the way.
“This is our most exciting project to date without a doubt. We’ve been overwhelmed by the success of both lnBloom and Hibernate."
From April 2014 the newly refurbished and extended bar, ran by Fluid Bars (who also operate Dock Bar in MediaCityUK), shall be ‘focussing on a quintessentially British theme, mixing traditional charm with modern glamour and contemporary design.' There will also be membership options with added benefits.
Hibernate: Currently under refurb
The Lawn Club shall be bigger in size than Hibernate and longer than rivals Long Bar (which should probably consider changing its name to ‘Long But Not Longest Bar’), featuring a retractable roof, day beds, open fires and added seating. The idea is to combine the summer al fresco nature of InBloom with the warmth of the Hibernate campfire wooden shed.
The Lawn Club will be offering food ‘more formal than Hibernate’s current menu’, alongside craft beers, wines, bubbles and a seasonally changing cocktail menu.

The Spinningfields Lawns were originally earmarked for development by Spinningfields developers Allied London. However, following heavy public usage which saw the area become a destination for those looking for a spot of inner city greenery. Mike Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London, said in January:
"The Lawns in Spinningfields was destined for future development as part of the original masterplan but the area has become an overwhelming success, much loved by the public. It is now integral to Spinningfields and will be maintained and enhanced, continuing as a special focal point for all kinds of activities.”
James Wrigley, Director of Fluid Bars said: “This is our most exciting project to date without a doubt. We’ve been overwhelmed by the success of both lnBloom and Hibernate.
"The Lawn Club is the culmination of that success, and what we’ve learnt during that process - we’re looking forward to revealing more about the plans. We’re delighted to be developing our relationship with Allied London - they’ve been absolutely fantastic, and it’s great for an independent group like us to be given these sorts of opportunities.”
The Lawn Club shall be open from lunch till late from April 2014.

Seems odd that this place is now open, though the website is still 'coming soon'. How can I know the menu in advance if I can't see it - hardly enticing.
