The team of chefs at King Street West’s award winning San Carlo Cicchetti have created a range of special dishes to delight the senses of star-crossed lovers and foodies this Valentine Day.

This Valentine's Day, say it with Cicchetti

Not just for romantics, the limited edition dishes are for anyone that loves seriously good food and for sweet-lovers, a spectacular exotic Italian-fusion dessert promises to be a must-try.  

Cicchetti Valentine specials include:

  • Porcini mushroom mousse with a whisky truffle oil jelly, toasted ciabatta and a wild leaf salad  
  • Warm grilled aubergine wrapped goats cheese with Italian roast pepper puree and a pine nut basil salsa
  • Grilled halibut fillet set on homemade linguini king prawns with a pachino tomato sauce
  • Roast rump of lamb with Barolo rosemary wine sauce served on gnocchi potatoes 
  • Pineapple carpaccio with lemongrass and chilli panna cotta

San Carlo Group executive chef John Thompson says the dishes have been created to delight: “As with all our dishes, these offer luxurious tones with a warming, rustic touch. The special dessert is a wonderful balance of sweet and fresh pineapple with an exotic, spicy finish. Thinly sliced fresh pineapple is matched to a panna cotta with a hint of lemongrass and chilli, topped with a sprig of deep fried lemongrass; it’s a delightfully balanced dish, enjoyed best with a glass of chilled Prosecco.”

Winner at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards and named Best Restaurant 2011 by Manchester Confidential, San Carlo Cicchetti continues to flourish.

Offering gourmet small plate dishes to share in sophisticated surroundings, San Carlo Cicchetti is the perfect Valentine dining destination.

The limited edition dishes will be available from Tuesday 14th February through to the weekend.

Limited reservations are available for Valentine Day dining through to 11pm when there will also be live music from the Royal Northern College of Music.
