FOOD

All San Carlo restaurants create food of the highest quality, but each restaurant displays its own unique style in food due to the individuality of our creative chefs and management. Fresh fish is our speciality with an eclectic daily fish bard for you to choose from. We alse use only the finest fresh produce and ingredients, many of which ae specially imported from Italy. San Carlo are proud to be able to provide the true essence of authentic Italian food in contemporary surroundings.

CARPACIO TASCANO AL PORCINI
Marinated Tuscan beef in extra virgin olive oil with porcini and topped with flakes of Parmesan cheese.

MARINATA DI LEGUMI 'ALLA GRIGLIA
Chargrilled aubergines, with buffalo mozzarella, courgettes, and peppers with rocket salad marinated in olive oil, fresh mint, fresh chilli and garlic.

SALSICCIA CON PLOENTA
Chargrilled aubergines, with buffalo mozzarella, courgettes, and peppers with rocket salad marinated in olive oil, fresh mint, fresh chilli and garlic.

COSTATINE DI MAIALE ORIENTALE
Barbecue spare ribs made to our very own recipe.

TORTELLONI AL VEGETALI GRIGLIATI
Egg pasta stuffed with grilled vegetables in alight creamy sauce.

PENNE CON TONNO ARRABBIATA
Fresh pasta with an Italian bite with tuna, fresh chilli, tomato, black olives, fresh basil, oregano and chilli.

TAGLIATELLE MONTECARLO
Pasta served with sautéed shallots, diced monkfish, tomato, white wine and cream sauce.

SPAGHETTI SHELLFISH
Spaghetti with shellfish, garlic, a touch of chilli, tomato sauce and fresh basil.

PENNE CON POLLO E GAMBERETTI
Fresh pasta with chicken, prawns in cream garlic and crushed peppercorn sauce.

RISSOTTO SAN CARLO
Italian rice, with wild mushrooms, shallots, white wine and wrapped Parma ham.

LINGUINE CON VONGOLE E GAMBERONI
Pasta with clams, giant king prawns, tomato sauce, touch of garlic, cream and sun brushed tomato.

SALMON RAVIOLI ROMANOF
Ravioli filed with salmon; flambéed in vodka with pink peppercorn, touch of tomato sauce and cream.

PETTO DI POLLO SAN CARLO
Pan-fried breast of chicken with white wine, prawns, spicy mixed peppers, green peppercorn and garnished with giant prawns.

PETTO DI POLLO GENOVESE
Breast of chicken sauté in white wine and Stilton cheese and garnished with radicchio.

PETTO DI POLLO LUCULLO
(This is a very old Roman connoisseurs dish). Pan-fried breast of chicken, with spicy Italian sausage, fine chopped peppers, sun bruched tomatoes with white wine and a touch of tomato sauce.

SCALOPPA DI VITELLO AL PORCINI
Escalope of veal served with white wine, wild muchrooms and cream sauce.

SALTIMBOCCO ALL ROMANA
Typical Roman dish, sliced with veal ham, cooked in white wine and fresh sage.

FEGATO DI VITELLO ALLA VENEZIANA CON POLENTA GRIGLIATA
Claves liver in a traditional Venetian sauce of onions, white wine and balsamic vinegar served on grilled polenta.

FILLETTO AL DOLCELATTE
Pan fired fillet steak served in port and dolcelatte sauce topped with melted cheese.
