HEROES – free dinner at Mint Hotel

Free five-course feast with plentiful drink for Heroes – 25 places

HEROES – free dinner at Mint Hotel

The excellent City Café at Mint Hotel in Piccadilly wants to treat 25 Confidential Heroes to a feast of fine food and drink – for free.

At this special event on Thursday 21 April, 25 Heroes will enjoy a five-course feast and a very generous supply of alcohol. Your night will begin with a welcome glass of Prosecco, you'll then have half a bottle of wine each, a glass of dessert wine, plus a glass of port. Arrival drinks served at 6.30pm

Quite a lot of drinking that but it is a Thursday night – the official start of the weekend. (Nobody gets anything done on Fridays anyway.)

Also, there'll be plenty of food to soak up the drink with a starter, fish course, main, dessert and cheese course. There'll also be tea and coffee to finish.

Peruse the full menu:

Starter
New season English asparagus, hollandaise sauce and balsamic

Fish Course
Bury black pudding, langoustines, granny smith apple

Main
Rump of lamb, wild garlic puree, potato pave, radish and watercress

Dessert
Trio of strawberries

Cheese
Selection of English cheeses, Nairns oatcakes and homemade chutney

It's a Heroes-only event and there's 25 places. No plus-ones unfortunately – make friends with your fellow Confidential Heroes instead. With all that alcohol, it won't be hard to get a conversation going.
