Published on November 8th 2011.

Didsbury Farm Shop Opens This Friday

MANCHESTER Restaurateur Simon Rimmer will be helping to launch The Artisan Meat Company’s Didsbury Farm Shop on Saturday 12 November from 10am. Although the shop will be open for a soft launch on the Friday.

80% of the produce comes from a 10 mile radius of the Cheshire base, and  pork, beef and lamb comes from within 3 miles

The success of the store in Mottram St Andrew, which opened 15 months ago, has meant that owner Mark Faulkner and his team have been able to create 12 new jobs in Didsbury.

All the staff will be local to the area as the policy for the company continues with the 'Local Is Best' theme.

The Artisan Meat Company quickly established itself as the place for shopper to get the best in local produce and the new store opening on Wilmslow Road will prove no different with 80% of the produce coming from a 10 mile radius of the Cheshire base, and  pork, beef and lamb coming from within 3 miles.

The Didsbury Farm Shop will supply handmade sausages, traditionally dry cured bacon and some of the best aged steak in the north. Our lunch includes hot sandwiches freshly prepared in house with a choice of pork, beef, turkey and gammon.

The Didsbury Village Farm Shop will open at 737 Wilmslow road In Didsbury. www.theartisanmeatcompany.co.uk

I bought a peice of their rump steak at the wilmslow farmers market a couple of weeks ago at what I thought was a bargain price. The peice was big enough to feed 3, however it was tough and tasteless...moral of the story...if it's too good to be true, it usually is! Nixons in Heald Green is better imo.
