Cocktails in the City

Join Manchester's top bars in the majestic surroundings of the Town Hall

Usually you have to be either at a wedding or on the guest list for some big city event to get to sip champagne cocktails in the splendid surroundings of the Town Hall.

So praise the Boutique Bar Show for once again organising their Cocktails in the City night there. It's an evening of shaking, stirring and making cocktails with some of Manchester's best bars – and anyone can go.

The night will feature cocktail masterclasses, drinks tuition, and entertainment. Plus music, nibbles, demonstrations and samples from some of the world's finest drinks brands.

Bars that'll be serving up their sharpest concoctions include Apotheca, Epernay, Keko Moku, Obsidian, Room, Corridor, Mojo and Thomas Restaurant & Bar.

You'll mix three cocktails under the expert tuition of their top bartenders. It's a chance to become a bit of a guru when it comes to crafting an enviable cocktail.

There'll also be a Foosball competition where you can challenge the UK Champion Rob Atha. You win a Blackdog Ballroom hamburger if you score just one goal – that's a challenge than needs taking up.

And it's all in the grand surroundings of the Great Hall.

Want to be there?

Tickets cost £12 which includes three cocktails, tuition, masterclasses and entertainment.

It takes place on 11 May 2011 from 5.30pm to 9pm.

The hands-on nature of the event means tickets are strictly limited so buy your ticket now.

It's a one-off, sociable night out in a beautiful venue – and a must for anyone who wants to learn the tricks and techniques of making fantastic cocktails.
