Ocean Treasure: lovely food for £19.99 and wine

This is a Strictly Confidential deal for the serious food lover.

Ocean Treasure, the new Chinese restaurant at Manchester 235, has provided for us a cornucopia of taste and colour to make our readers' tastebuds and eyeballs go on strike declaring themselves undone by the sheer beauty of it all.

You might get chilli or coriander or a sudden rush of ginger, the soft crunch through the gently battered soft shell crab, full beef flavours, exquisitely spiced and citrusy sea bass.

Foodies appreciate grub in several ways but the first way is visually.

Before a morsel passes the lips we appraise the food, staring it up and down like sex-starved singletons do a good-looking member of the opposite (or same) sex. If the food looks beautiful then half the battle is won for the chef.

In which case I might as well shut up about the whole deal we've got for you and let you massage your peepers by gazing at the pics on this page. This is beautiful nosh. It's catwalk perfect.

As for the flavours, well the range is so broad it's hard to know where to start. In turn through this vast choice there's the whole hearted and the robust mingled with the nuanced and the subtle. You might get chilli or coriander or a sudden rush of ginger, the soft crunch through the gently battered soft shell crab, full beef flavours, exquisitely spiced and citrusy sea bass.

Indeed my dream team with this offer would include the sea bass. Or maybe the soft shell crab. Then again the casserole was magic, as was the lamb with ginger and and spring onion, or the subtle beef cubes. I'd definitely go for the steaming dim sum platter. The deep fried hors d-oeuvres was a cracking platter too.

I reckon you might have to take advantage of the deal at least twice to do it justice.

Anyway here's the menu. For £19.99 with half a bottle of wine thrown in it's a winner. One of our very best Strictly deals.
