HARVEY NICHOLS MANCHESTER have an unmissable Chinese New Year in store as they link up with the hottest Chinese chef of the moment, Ching-He Huang, to create a refined, limited edition Chinese New Year Menu.

Diners who have long awaited the excuse to retox, will not be disappointed by the Golden scallop and prawn wontons

Renowned internationally as a real ambassador for Chinese cuisine and for delivering exciting dishes which appeal to East and West alike, Ching has created a diverse ‘Yin and Yang’ menu exclusively for Harvey Nichols consisting of six sumptuous dishes and three traditional ‘Kai Wei Cai’ (appetisers). Using the finest speciality ingredients, the enticing menu fuses modern flavours with Chinese heritage with prices ranging from just £5 to £7.

Those still in detox mode will enjoy the Longevity Noodles with misua noodles, garlic, salt, sesame oil and garlic flowering chives, while diners who have long awaited the excuse to retox, will not be disappointed by the Golden scallop and prawn wontons.

Ching said of the collaboration: "I am extremely excited to be working exclusively with Harvey Nichols to curate their Chinese New Year menu. This is my first collaboration with a portfolio of restaurants and I could not think of a more suitable partner than Harvey Nichols, whose emphasis on style and quality dining mirror my own approach to cuisine. Together we will be creating a fabulous collaboration for Chinese New Year." 

If you’re eager to start the Chinese New Year celebrations early, or just looking for some exceptional Chinese cooking, there will be an exclusive dinner with traditional Chinese games, hosted by Ching herself at Harvey Nichols Manchester on Thursday 12 February.

Join Ching for a sensory discovery through sweet, salty, hot and aromatic flavours as she shares the methods and techniques behind the dishes with a live cookery demonstration, themed welcome cocktail, book signing and photographs. Tickets cost £45 per person.
