Harvey Nichols Second Floor Restaurant will be hosting an exclusive, five course dinner by one of the country's top chefs on 10 May. Aled Williams is head chef at Plas Bodegroes, Wales’ first five star restaurant, and one of the chefs featured in the new series of The Great British Menu.

At this intimate dinner, just 45 guests will be served some revised versions of dishes featured in The Great British Menu as well as favourites from his own restaurant. It's going to be a very special event and an opportunity to experience the work of a much-respected chef without the travel to Wales.

The menu will comprise of five courses including pea and parmesan foam, pan fried sea trout with fennel puree, loin and slow cooked shoulder of mountain lamb, and Champagne poached rhubarb with lemongrass baked custard. Accompanied by a glass of Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne.

And if you quote ‘Manchester Confidential’ when you book, you'll be entered into a prize draw to win dinner for two and a stay at Plas Bodegroes, a 'restaurant with rooms' set amongst beautiful gardens on the Llyn Peninsula in Wales – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The prize package, which is based on two sharing a superior room, is worth £235.

The times for the dinner on 10 May will be staggered with the first table at 7.15pm, second at 7.45pm, the third at 8.15pm, and the last seating at 8.45pm.

Aled developed his culinary skills at Plas Bodegroes in 2003. He won the prestigious Gordon Ramsey scholarship in November 2006, and went on to work in Ramsey’s three Michelin-star restaurants in Chelsea and New York and in several esteemed restaurants in Australia and South East Asia. He became head chef at Plas Bodegroes in 2008.

Tickets are priced at £60 and there are only 45 places available, so prompt booking is advised.
