If you haven’t been recently, now’s the perfect time to visit Bolton Market. Over the past year there have been a number of improvements to the building and now you can enjoy the festive atmosphere of the award-winning food halls, the lifestyle hall and the traditional outdoor market, all cosily covered up for Christmas.

The food at Bolton Market has all the ingredients for a feast that’s fit for any King. The Radio 4 Food and Farming Awards voted it Best Food Market because of the great range of products on offer: fresh fish; locally sourced meat and cheeses; exotic fruit and vegetables; and Mediterranean deli produce.

The traditional market is crammed with bargains, making it the ideal place to do all your Christmas shopping. There’s everything from electrical goods and leather goods, to top branded cosmetics, clothes and jewellery, not forgetting plenty of sweet treats to fill those stockings.

In the lifestyle hall there’s a range of top-notch traders including a tropical florist and a pet accessories shop. It’s the perfect place to find a gift that’s a bit quirky or different. There’s also a seating area and food court. Meet up with friends for a Christmas catch-up over real ale from the Great Ale bar or a caffeine pick-me-up from the specialist coffee house and for lunch tuck into anything from warming winter soups to hearty African curries.
