THE Yacht Club has departed Spinningfields for the winter, so it's time to change tack.
The Ski Club will be launching in November and running through into the spring.
The aspiration is for a 'high end, chic, après ski bar in the heart of the city, inspired by the luxury chalet retreats of Courchevel 1850, Verbier and St. Morritz.'
More details will be revealed soon, but the bar will include a 'VIP members' area, an exclusive hireable event space, a chalet cocktail bar and a cosy snug'.
Chris Legh, director at Heart Soul Rock & Roll, comments: “This summer The Yacht Club built a glamorous and dedicated cliental and we have had an amazing time through rain and shine.
“We couldn’t wait until next summer, so we’ve created a 250 capacity stylish indoor winter retreat to take us right through the ski season all the way to Spring. The Ski Club will be Manchester’s first VIP après ski, perfectly situated in the heart of Spinningfields.”
Chris clearly likes his idea. So let's now see if it delivers.

Well they've certainly hit a niche market; The bleach blonde type trying to live a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget.
purrrrrr
simply don't go and leave it to those of us,with the money
Thought the Yacht Club was great, despite the comments from Tiddles, I mean Anon. I'll look forward to the 'race for a seat' at the Ski Club!
Please, if you're going to do this type of 'theme' bar then be consistent with the theme. I've never been to a bar in a ski resort that sells Corona, Carling or flavoured ciders. Lets have a bar with gluhwein, pilsner, weizen beer, xante, jagertee and aperol spritzers.
Thanks
and milk???
The ski club doesn't sell carling....
It has a rather nice selection of cocktails, hot and cold! And three very nice draught beers, none of which are your common 'pub draughts'
So I advise you come to Ski Club and actually witness what is on offer there, rather than assuming
Look forward to seeing you there.....!
The Yacht Club sold none of those things? Have you even been? Doesn't sound like it pal.
Can you explain where in my comment above that I said the Yacht Club sold those things?
How about if I substitute Corona for Sol? Neither fit in with the riviera theme.
My point was that if you're going to have a theme then at least do it properly.
Agreed anon.
