It’s a load of balls at the Black Dog Ballroom this World Cup. More balls than you can shake a stick at. Although you may want to brandish your cue.
The Black Dog has four pool tables already in place, but over the coming weeks it's screening all the England matches too.
England, remember, are the team that will kick-off at 8.30pm on Sunday 11 July in the World Cup Final. Honest, we know.
But if you can’t wait that long, England will also be playing the USA, Algeria and Slovenia between Saturday 12 June and Wednesday 23 June.
All of these games will be screened at the Black Dog Ballroom: a place tagged by a visiting American journalist, a couple of weeks ago, as ‘the coolest place I’ve been to in Europe.’
The bar also has just about the best, meatiest, freshest burgers anywhere in the North along with options for all the crazy vegetarians in the world.
If you want to make things a little more exclusive for a group of friends then you can hire the secret room, known as The Ballroom. This comes complete with its own cocktail bar, pool table and private staff. The price is £150 for the hire and £7.50 a head for the food which includes mini-burgers, a selection of pizzas and goats cheese bon-bons.
It could be you private hideaway to experience all the joy. Or the pain. More joy than pain we trust.
To make a booking simply call the Black Dog Ballroom on 0161 839 0664 not forgetting to quote “Manchester Confidential”
