NEW PETER STREET BAR, Brew Dog is calling for the public to hand in ‘crap’ cans of lager to be replaced with quality craft beer as their seventh UK bar opens.
BrewDog, Scotland’s largest independent brewery, has today opened BrewDog Manchester at 35 Peter Street - their seventh beer bar to open in the past 18 months.
To mark the launch, the brewer has introduced a ‘crap beer amnesty’, which allows the people to swap a can of mainstream branded lager for one of their artisanal canned, bottled or draught craft beers for one day only - while stocks last.
This takes place for today only from 1pm – 8pm, BrewDog has promised to recycle the cans of mainstream lager, once they have ‘blown them up’.

Straight out of the cola giants playbook (tip new coke down drain campaign etc). Like Brew dog would say no to the market penetration Stella has. There is so much beer snobbery about Manchester now it drives a person back to drink a good old fashioned, classless, everyman, won’t be judged by the label, salt of the earth bottle of Domaine Romanée-Conti
Beer snobbery, Jesus..."artisinal canned (I kid you not) craft beer" Have you ever heard such bullshit? But hey, you can buy this not crap lager (sic) in most supermarkets, so not that much different from Stella or Tennants or any other mainstream beer...
Except the Brewdog canned brews aren't pasteurised, so you get the full benefit from those exotic, delicate hops.
I rest my case. I give you...a canned beer connoisseur.
Why do people fall for this 'independent' is better nonsense. These people have the same motivation as every other pub chain, they will open branches everywhere like Revolution did.But at the same time they charge higher prices for beer, because they pretend to be more worthy.
Chill out poor boys.
