ALDO Zilli is teaming up with Manchester’s award winning Italian restaurant group San Carlo, to launch the company’s second London venture.
I plan to introduce tastes and flavours from all over Italy."
Following the success of Cicchetti on Manchester’s King Street West, San Carlo Group has joined forces with well-known chef Aldo Zilli to launch Cicchetti at 215 Piccadilly Circus, London.
Zilli is creating a selection of dishes for Cicchetti which will appear on menus both in Manchester and London.
The London Cicchetti, in Piccadilly Circus, will feature a similarly luxurious interior to the Manchester restaurant, complete with a long marble bar and mirrored walls. As with Manchester’s Cicchetti, London will also serve small plate dishes to share or eat alone, inspired by Veneto cuisine.
Aldo Zilli said, “Cicchetti is my favourite kind of food – lots of delicious small bites. I plan to introduce tastes and flavours from all over Italy.”

Who needs who more? The celebrity chef with no restaurants better known for his celebrity weight loss, or the provincial restaurateur looking to sprinkle some capital stardust on a new venture?

Could not agree more.
And which mega restaurant do you two own?
Cucina a casa mia?
ooops, *di*
I have eaten at Cicchetti several times and it has always been excellent. I have eaten at two of Zilli's restaurants in the past and neither was outstanding. I am going to assume this move is aimed at raising the San Carlo profile and garnering some column inches, as they don''t need his "creative input" - just stick to the superb ingredients and thoughtful preparation and they'll be fine...
Italia for me....try the new menu...awesome!!
Franco got to you Pollo?
I'm another one who is a bit lost. Aldo Zilli does not have a great reputation. This is a massive mistake for San Carlo. Instead of recommending London friends to go and try Cicchetti I will spend hours arguing with them all that it really is worth going and I'm sure they won't have let Aldo Zilli ruin their food.
i totally agree with ROBBSY and TIMBUC !!!!!
Listen Italian Passion, we're not kids texting each other. What's with the teenage exclamation marks. They make me shudder.
