Kaos Dream

A fantastically delirious vision of Shakespeare’s classic play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Published on February 19th 2008.

Kaos Dream

Kaos Dream plunges famous Shakespeare play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, into a contemporary urban cabaret of strip-clubs, pimps and pole-dancers at Contact Theatre from Thurs 28 Feb- Sat 1 March at 8pm.

Powered by its trademark style of inventive physical theatre, original live music, and a devilish, biting black humour, this new production explores the darker side of Shakespeare’s ‘rom – com’. Faithful to the text, the production incorporates selective edits rather than re-writes, stripping back Shakespeare’s original script to a slick 90 minutes.

Atmospherically fuelled by a seductive and sultry jazz score performed live on stage this darkly funny and playful production promises a visually provocative and very sexy show that will offer an eye-opening and original view on Shakespeare’s famous work.

The Contact Theatre is offering Manchester Confidential readers the chance to see the production Kaos Dream for a reduced price of £6 a ticket.
