NOEL Gallagher will release his first solo album in October, backed up by a tour starting the same month.
'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' will be released on October 17th. A second album, recorded with psychedelic band Amorphous Androgynous, will be released next year.
The tour starts in Dublin on October 23 and Gallagher will be playing Oasis songs.
Gallagher held a press conference in London today to break the news. His new Twitter feed, @NoelGallagher, already has 7,500 followers and #NoelGallagher beganb trending worldwide as news of his new material broke.
'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' features ten new songs and was recorded over the past year in London and Los Angeles. It was co-produced by Noel and David Sardy, who Noel has worked with previously.
Noel said his band will tour this autumn after the release of the album.
