THIRTY ONE SONGS is a new Manchester compilation album featuring artists such as Noel Gallagher, Mr Scruff, Elbow, Everything Everything, Delphic and more.
The album is being released to raise money for the charity CALM, which aims to reduce the high suicide rate amongst men by providing support for those suffering from depression or mental illness.
The tracks on the album have been sourced, chosen and compiled by man-about-town Dave Haslam.
As the title of the track suggests it's got 31 tracks on it and has already been described as "the best-ever Manchester compilation". Another reviewer said; "The mixture and quality of every track on here is first-rate, put together with the love; thirty one tracks of pure excellence."
All the artists have a connection to Manchester and are active in today's music scene, some of them well known, others are up and coming talent. It is categorically not a blast of eighties nostalgia.
