Jacqui Dankworth Tickets To Be Won For This Saturday

BRITISH jazz artist Jacqui Dankworth, daughter of Dame Cleo Laine, returns to the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) on Saturday to perform tracks from her latest album, It Happens Quietly.

In addition to standards such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and Blame It On My Youth, the album offers a selection of lush, atmospheric orchestral arrangements in collaboration, and lovingly dedicated to, her father, the late Johnny Dankworth, on what would be his last performance on record.

For this Manchester date, Jacqui and her sextet will be joined by RNCM string players for a unique and moving evening.

Jacqui Dankworth can be seen at the RNCM, Oxford Road, Manchester on Saturday 26 November at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £18, £16 and £14. To book call 0161 907 5555 or visit www.rncm.ac.uk
