As renowned fashion designer Karl Lagerfield once said: “Fashion and music are the same, because music express its period too.”
Sadly Karl won’t be private jetting over to Manchester to join us for the event but let’s face it, he’d never be able to see the beauty of the church with those black shades glued to his face anyway.
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Heaton Moor, with her distinctive vintage style, is tipped to be the next big thing offering an eclectic blend of sumptuous soul, psychedelic rock and pop-orientated hip-hop. Together with long-term band mates, Marky Lewis (bass) and Jimmy Wood (drums), JJ Rosa strides confidently between genres.
Not tonight KarlJane Sharrocks, General Manager of Selfridges in Exchange Square and Chair of the Heart of Manchester BID (Business Improvement District) said: “This is going to be a great way of rounding off an evening of shopping. St Ann’s Church in the heart of the city centre will provide a stunning venue for this one-off concert which will be a truly unique experience. Not only is this another reason to come into the city centre but it provides the perfect end to what will undoubtedly be a memorable evening for Manchester. ”
Starting at 10pm, 200 free tickets will be available from 9pm on the night from the venue on a first come, first served basis.
