This weekend you should definitely venture into the city centre. Not only have the Christmas Markets started, but Forever Manchester Festival will also be livening up the Printworks from 19-21 November.
This year is the tenth anniversary of the Printworks and the free indoor music festival will mark this by bringing 60 up and coming bands and artists from around Manchester to six live music arenas throughout entertainment venue.
The series of gigs will take place at the Hard Rock Cafe, Opus, Henry J Beans, Old Orleans, Waxy O’Connor’s and at the main stage in the Pumpyard with the festival finale taking place in Opus with a performance by Kid British. Some venues will operate over 18’s policies, however the main stage will be suitable for all ages.
In addition, all bars, restaurants and cafes within the Printworks will also be supporting the festival, by providing a range of exclusive food and drinks offers all weekend.
Fred Booth, centre director at The Printworks, said: “We’re working hard in association with Manchester Radio Online and the Manchester Band Union to really support emerging bands from in and around Manchester, by providing a platform to perform on.
“The Forever Manchester Festival isn’t just about celebrating the great music acts we have coming out of the city – it’s also about providing them with the support, and giving them somewhere they can show off their skills.”
