Factory Manchester Presents Dum Dum Girls Live

THE mighty Dum Dum Girls will be joined by Veronica Falls and Retriever when they play Factory Manchester, on Sunday 13 November.

After last year’s mesmerising rise, America's finest contemporary all girl beat group and their bittersweet and beautiful, harmony-drenched punky garage pop are back.

The album, 'I Will Be', drew high praise from all quarters last year and was widely regarded as one of the albums of the year.

The band recently released their fabulous second album, 'Only In Dreams', which has proved to be every bit as essential as it's predecessor - with tighter production and a heartfelt shift in sound placing the girls as one of the finest bands in the world right now.

In a world of predictable, manufactured girl pop bands, Dum Dum Girls shine through with a legacy of The Shirelles, Ronettes, Chiffons and Shangri La's, with an injection of indie pop and post punk attitude and technique.

The girls are also famous for their cover of The Smiths classic, ‘There Is A Light That Will Never Go Out.’

Doors for the event are at 7:30pm, and tickets are on sale now at Ticketweb for £10.

The Factory, Manchester
