Original It Bites front man and guitar virtuoso Francis Dunnery visits Manchester for a two-night residency with his recently-formed band - Francis Dunnery’s Brand New It Bites. Performing a mixture of original It Bites classics and new songs, The New Progressives UK tour will feature yet-to-be-announced special guests.

Reggae rub-a-dub superstar Yellowman has been startling audiences with his subversive lyrics and infectious Jamaican grooves for 30 years. Now recognised as a major influence on hip hop, with artists such as Notorious B.I.G, Tupac Shakur and Blackstar recycling his work, Band on the Wall welcomes this original rude boy of Dancehall to its stage.

EDWARD II

Take a regular English country band, add a reggae rhythm section, sweet vocal harmonies, blistering brass and scattergun melodeon and you have the phenomenon that is Edward II. Throughout the ‘90s they astounded fans with their hyper-active live shows including headlining Glastonbury’s Avalon stage a record four years running. This ‘One Year Only’ tour may very well be your only opportunity to see these pioneers of modern roots music live.

Azymuth have been making funk jazz fused with samba and other tropical rhythms since the early 70s. Inventors of Samba Doido (Crazy Samba), this Brazilian electric three-piece consistently turn out electrifying performances of sun-drenched funk and hot jazz that sear the soul.
