Fancy feasting on mulled wine and mince pies while a live gospel choir belts out classics by The Beatles and U2? Then head to MOJO on Wednesday 16 December to see the Accord Community Gospel Choir performing at an event in aid of Amnesty International.
This 20-strong choir, led by Kadria Thomas, will be drawing in passers-by from the cold winter evening to sample choir classics and Christmas treats. It will be a true rock ‘n’ roll Christmas with the choir performing a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and well-known gospel hymns. They will also be throwing in some classic tracks such as The Beatles' ‘Let it Be’ and U2’s ‘Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’.
MOJO will be dipping their hands in their pockets to make a donation to Amnesty International but contributions will also be accepted on the night from customers. Children are welcome (for one night only) and it promises to be a spirit-rousing event.
