Greater Manchester Film Festival

Greater Manchester Film Festival

5 October-7 October 2012 at Odeon Printworks and MediaCity UK

The programme has been announced for the inaugural Greater Manchester Film Festival – and we're impressed.

From Hollywood blockbusters, to world premieres, to locally made short films and exclusive workshops with leading film directors, this international festival guarantees to have something for everyone.

'Whether you enjoy watching films or making them, we want you to come and be inspired,' says Simon Powell, festival director. 'It's criminal that a city with the creative history and talent of Manchester is not a global film festival hub, we want to change that.'

There's ten events in total. We've picked out our top three. You might disagree – scroll down for the full schedule.
