Friends of Mine festival this weekend

THE beautiful surrounds of Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire will be taken over by the first Friends of Mine festival over the weekend.

Headliners this year include Bad Lieutenant, The Charlatans and the Cribs, supported by the Lightning Seeds, The Fall,Badly Drawn Boy, Buzzcocks and Mr Scruff, amongst others. 

There's plenty of new talent on display too, alongside established manchester acts like Liam Frost, Puressence, Goldblade and Cherry Ghost.

The three day festival kicks off this Friday (May 20), headlined by Bernard Sumner'sd Bad Leiutenant, with Liverpool bands the Lightning Seeds and The Farm also on the bill.

Saturday headliners The Cribs (minus Jonny Marr) are helped out by Badly Drawn Boy, The Buzzcocks, Black Lips, Dutch Uncles and The Heartbreaks.

The festival concludes on Sunday with The Charlatans, The Whip, A Certain Ratio and sets from acclaimed new acts Yuck, Toro y Moi and an exclusive UK The festival appearance from the Fall.

Aside from all the music, there's also a house party which includes sets from Howard Marks, Mike Joyce and Dave Haslam. The comedy tent line-up includes John Cooper Clarke and Justine.

The Friends of Mine festival takes place this weekend (May 20-22) and a three-day pass costs £89.50. Single day tickets are still available, costing £35 for Friday and £56 for Saturday and Sunday.
