RMK Summer Gloss Make Up EventTo coincide with the launch of their must-have new Summer 2008 Collection, which features a delectable range of pastel eye and lip colours, cult Japanese beauty brand RMK are hosting a make-up master-class at Selfridges. These workshops will be running from Thursday 29 May to Saturday 31 May and will include a skin care analysis, base make-up overview and a personalised colour consultation to find the right colours for your individual skin-tone. Each session lasts for one hour and costs £20, which is redeemable against purchase.You will also receive a chic weekend skincare bag. The products include a luxurious clear jelly face mask for a weekend home spa as well as more not-to-be-missed gifts and a fantastic opportunity to win £200 worth of RMK products. Manchester Fashion Network sample sale
We all know that this is an important week for woman-kind, what with the release of Sex and the City: the Movie. And you know once you've seen the movie, the next thing you'll need in your life is a new wardrobe. Luckily for this city, Manchester Fashion Network are setting up shop in the Printworks to bring to you a whole host of designers. The list so far includes:

Sexy specs search
THE hunt for the 2008 Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year will be at the Arndale Centre on Saturday 31 May. Celebrity make-up artist, Armand Beasley, who features on Channel 4’s How To Look Good Naked, is spearheading the first in a series of roadshows.

Talent scouts from top model agency MOT will be outside the Specsavers store armed with cameras to snap Manchester’s finest four-eyes. Specialists from Benefit and Specsavers will also be offering expert makeup and glasses advice, free makeovers and information on the latest celebrity specs trends. The competition, recently launched by Specsavers ambassador, style guru Gok Wan, is open to men and women aged 16 and over.

Lovely lingerie at House of Fraser
The wraps are off as House of Fraser, Manchester, celebrates the very best of lingerie from across the continent.
