Liverpool is launching its reign as the European Capital of Culture this Friday 11 and Saturday 12 with a multi-media extravaganza. The weekend will showcase film, live performances and theatre productions kicking off with two spectacular events: The People's Opening and Liverpool - The Musical. Ringo Star and a whole hoard of Liverpool show stoppers will feature in the cultural programme.
Manchester company Ear to the Ground have been commissioned as the lead agency to deliver this weekend’s activities. With previous successes including the much loved Dpercussion festival, Manchester Pride, the Austrian snowboarding event: Snowbombing and last year’s Warehouse Projects all under their belt this weekend looks set to go down a storm.
Working closely with legendary Olympic producer Nigel Jamieson, they are providing Liverpool with their skills and imagination to make the weekend a raging success for them and the city. The Manchester-based events company are responsible for bringing all aspects of the show’s production to life and setting the standard for the Year of Culture.
Ear to the Ground create bespoke events to cater to every client. Happy customers include Microsoft, Orange, Urban Splash and West Properties and Manchester City Council and fashion friends such as H&M and Topshop.
