Wine Lunch with Oz Clarke

Learn about wine from the UK's most recognised wine critic – next Wednesday at Restaurant Bar and Grill

Wine Lunch with Oz Clarke

If wine is your thing and you want to learn about it from a true expert in the field, there's an excellent opportunity coming up next week.

Oz Clarke is coming to Restaurant Bar and Grill on Wednesday 6 October to host a wine-tasting masterclass and lunch, as part of Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

At the event, he'll guide you through a succession of premium wines which will be delicately matched with a light lunch of some of Restaurant Bar and Grill's finest dishes. Expect insider tips and enlightening stories of life as a sommelier while you dine.

It's going to be a true one-off – a bit like being taught physics by Stephen Hawking, or having Vivienne Westwood host a knitting class. Because although Oz has become a bit of a 'celebrity' taster in recent years, he didn't get there just by having a winning way with the camera. He really knows his stuff.

He's the reigning World Wine Tasting Champion and has been sipping and spitting out the good stuff for near-on 25 years. You won't find a more knowledgeable and entertaining tutor than this.

It's well worth taking an afternoon off work for (just say you've got a dentist appointment). Though it might be hard to keep this one to yourself if anyone asks what you've been up to lately.

The masterclass and lunch takes place next Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm at Restaurant Bar and Grill, John Dalton Street, city centre.

Tickets cost £48 and are limited in number – be quick if you want to go.
